What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit.

Cookies We Do NOT Use

  • ❌ Advertising or retargeting cookies
  • ❌ Social media tracking pixels
  • ❌ Session authentication cookies (we have no accounts)
  • ❌ Any cookies without your consent

When you first visit Particle Post, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the screen. You can:

  • Accept Analytics — analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics activates
  • Decline — no cookies are set; you can still use the full site

Your choice is saved in your browser’s localStorage (not a cookie itself) under the key ppCookieConsent.

You can withdraw consent at any time:

  1. Clear site data in your browser:

    • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data → Cookies
    • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
    • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove
  2. After clearing, the cookie banner will reappear on your next visit.

All major browsers allow you to block, delete, or manage cookies:

Note: blocking all cookies will not affect your ability to read Particle Post.

Google Analytics Opt-Out

You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics across all sites.
